The Fort Canon Hotel is a family run hotel located at the top of the village over the sandy beach which they say is a mile long. This hotel has the perfect location for a holiday as it is within two minutes walking distance to its blue flag beach which they say is a mile long.

On a clear day you can see the oldest lighthouse in Europe from the beach which, up to a few years ago was manned by lighthouse keepers. Also close by is Loftus Hall where, as the story goes, the devil appeared. And of course, a visit to he maritime museum is a must where you can learn all about the great St. Louise which was sunk off of Duncannon, taking three days to finally submerge.
